Johann Georg von Langen built the Fürstenberg China Factory (Porzellanmanufaktur Fürstenberg) on 11 January 1747 in Fürstenberg, on the Weser river, under the direction of Duke Charles I of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel. It is Germany's second-oldest porcelain company, still in operation on its original site. The operation was transformed into a public limited corporation in 1888. (Aktiengesellschaft). In the 1966, the company merged with its parent company, Braunschweig GmbH, to form a limited liability corporation (GmbH), making it a wholly owned subsidiary of NORD/LB. Stephanie Saalfeld is the company's current managing director. C.1980. Plates are in Great Condition. Set features Gilt Rim and Fruit Ornaments.
