n Glenhuntly, Huntley Pottery began producing slip cast objects designed by John Elischer. Elischer expanded his homewares business to include flagons and related advertising goods such as ashtrays and jugs for the liquor industry in the late 1940s and early 1950s. Many of these commercial goods are now coveted by collectors, but his port bottles can still be found in most op-shops today.
