Bankers Lamps or Emeralite lamps are brass-based Table Lamps named for their bluish-green cased Glass Shades. Both Bellova and Emeralite lamps were created by American Engineer Harrison D. McFaddin. Lamp design was patented in 1909, USA, although most of the Emeralite shades were produced in the glass factory of J. Schreiber & Neffen in the city of Rapotin, Moravia, which is now the Czech Republic. Back in the days one half of the S&F factory was devoted to the production of glass shades for H. G. McFaddin. The Green Bankers Lamp is arguably the most popular Table Lamp of all time and we are offering this Unique Green Shade & Brass Base Desk Lamp is in Excellent Working Condition. It has a green glass lamp shade that is normally mounted on a brass base. Green shades were thought to guard against eyestrain from the intense light emitted by early light bulbs, and this assumption was essential to the design's popularity. Bankers Lamp has some minor rust on the base & a little crack on the edge of the shade due to its age.Dimensions: 255 x 215 x 375H mmPlease contact Anthony on 0412495436Or Email at wakimantiques@hotmail.com10 Nicholson St, Coburg VIC 3058Trading Hours: 10AM-6PM (Mon-Sun)
