A wonderful small scale bust of the Venus De Milo, a famous ancient Greek marble sculpture of the goddess Aphrodite, also known as Venus in Roman mythology, discovered on the island of Milos in Greece in 1820. Created by Alexandros of Antioch during the Hellenistic period, likely between 150 and 100 BC, the 2-meter-tall statue is known for its missing arms, which add to its enduring mystery and appeal. It is now a centerpiece of the Louvre Museum's collection in Paris.
This piece is in fantastic condition, and would make a wonderful display piece.
