Johnson Brothers was a British dinnerware maker and exporter known for being one of the first to introduce "semi-porcelain" tableware to the market. From the 1890s through the 1960s, it was one of the most successful Staffordshire potteries, producing dinnerware, much of which was exported to the United States. They were especially well-known for their huge bathroom ceramics. Some of the patterns, such as "Eternal Beau," "Dawn," "Old Britain Castles," and "Historic America," became well-known and are still in use today. The company's success stemmed in part from its ability to spot and follow trends that appealed to its American clients, as well as the high quality of its designs, which were created by competent artists. It was founded in 1883 and was a member of the Wedgwood Group from 1968 until 2015. Johnson Brothers' manufacture was halted after the Wedgwood Group was acquired by Fiskars in 2015.
