This very rare set of serving platters, bowls and a gravy dish was made by Shorter and Sons in England in the 40s to 60s. The set has very scalloped edges like flower petals, with a subtle vertical ribbed texture and hand painted washes of soft green and a soft orange brown. These hand painted pieces are quite charming and would be fun in a vintage kitchen. In great condition, there are no chips or cracks but the glaze surface is crazed. The stamped hallmarks are shown in the photos.
