This vintage slide ruler comes with an instruction booklet titled The “Hemmi's" Bamboo Slide Rules and protective case. The slide ruler is constructed from laminated bamboo with celluloid facings. Hemmi was a renowned manufacturer of these instruments, which were widely used by engineering students and professionals until the 1970s. The handwritten note on the instruction manual indicate this was once owned by a student at an institute of technology in Geelong, Victoria.
