The KR-10x is an SLR for 35mm film by Ricoh which accepts K mount lenses. The same model is referred to as XR-10 in certain markets. It features both aperture-priority autoexposure and a broad range of manual shutter speeds (1/1000 sec. to 16 seconds), as well as flash sync up to 1/125th, and is powered by two 1.5 volt LR44/SR44 type batteries. The automatically chosen shutter speed is previewable at the right edge of the viewfinder by pressing a button next to the handgrip; exposure correction and an AE lock are optional. Setting adjustments for manual metre readings are made until the over/under arrows in the LCD display of the viewfinder vanish. A button next to the rewind crank selects an electronic self-timer with a 10-second delay; it can be turned off with a second click. The self-timer displays a red LED towards the subjects in the handgrip as it counts down. A multiple-exposure capability is added to the Ricoh XR7 model, which has very similar features but somewhat different design.
