The AWA Transistor Eight Model 208PY C. 1964 is a collectors item for those interested in ‘Lunch Box’ style transistor radios.  One of many AWA models from the late 1950's to early 1970's offered to the Australian Market. The radio is a basic MW only set with an On/Off/Volume Control on the left, a Tone Control on the right, a Tuning Control on the RHS and provision for a plug in external aerial on the LHS. A pleasant linear Dial Scale with the Australian MW Stations is prominent on the front. A large 9V battery, no longer available powered the set so it will require an alternative method for power. Using a 6 AA battery holder is probably the best option. A nice, well performing radio with pleasant audio and a worthy addition to a collection. 
 
This Radiola comes in good vintage condition however has a broken right dial, refer to images.
