This vintage plate features a depiction of Alexander Pushkin’s poem, 'Ruslan and Ludmila’, handcrafted by artist Gleb Lyubimov in 1988 Soviet Union. Text on back in Russian reads: "This plate number 2931D is a exclusive official release of the work of Palekh artist Gleb Lyubimov, based on the poem by A. Pushkin, "Ruslan and Ludmila". Artist Glen Lyubimov created the plate original in the traditions of miniature decoration in famous Palekh style. Preserving all color schemes, and using natural gold especially for this edition. This plate is the first in a series of collector's plates "Russian fairytales". First produced in the Soviet Union at Vinogradov Porcelain Factory in a production run limited to 195 firing days."
