"CRO" furniture was created by Claude Robert Ogden. His company had been in operation since 1908. Mr Ogden, based in Marrickville, NSW, was another manufacturer who successfully transitioned from the pre-war to the mid-century period. This simple design is typical of the Mid-Century era. Probably around 1955, made of Australian Hardwood. "Every house in Sydney has a piece of CRO furniture!" it was reported when Mr Ogden died in 1964. Piece is Great Condition and features manufacturer’s name on the back. Beautiful mid to late 50s piece. What Furniture Maker could want for a better Epitaph?
