David Stewart Dawson, an Australian manufacturing jeweller and property mogul, was born in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, in 1849 and died in 1932. In 1871, he established a retail jewellery and watchmaking business in Liverpool. A supplier of timepieces to the Liverpool police force.
