Steven has worked as a professional artist for fifty years. His style has ranged from landscape, still-life, portraiture and abstract. In the past, his work has raised funds to benefit many community groups, with the a large output serving as fundraising for the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, for which he was made Life Governor. Steven self exhibited all over Australia all his life, with collectors acquiring his work in every state.
Now retired, Steven enjoys painting as a mindful process, and is often found outside with his easel, and music playing. With a move to the coastal city of Shellharbour on the South Coast, Steven has found his recent collection of work have a typical ocean theme. The colour range and flow of the brushstrokes indicate the refreshing effect that the environment and the sea has on him.
