This wonderful mid-century abstract impressionist painting by artist Chen Mao comes in very good condition. The painting depicts a stylised Asian village scene with figures and huts and is bordered in a simple thin chrome frame.  
 
Chen Mao (1942–2011) was a Chinese Modern & Contemporary painter known for his distinctive, heavily textured, and atmospheric oil paintings, often featuring misty, impressionistic mountain landscapes, fishing scenes, and, in some cases, urban environments. His works are highly regarded for their 3D, textured quality, frequently created by incorporating horse hair into his oil paints, a technique that gives his, and sometimes his school's, paintings a unique depth.
