Australian professional artist Jan Neil has relocated to Melbourne in 1981 from Central Victoria, where she has held several exhibitions. She has also held exhibitions abroad and in each Australian State. Jan began creating acrylic collages on stretched canvas when she relocated to her Carlton Studio in Melbourne in 1997. Timber, metal, wire, and fabrics were the primary collage materials employed. Jan's prolific creative career entered a new phase during this time, and she executed numerous commissions for prominent clients, including Greg Norman's boat, Launceton Country Club Tasmania, Sails in the Desert, Uluru, and many others. In Carlton, Jan relocated to a specially designed studio and gallery in Clifton Hill in 2002, and for the following eight years, she hosted exhibitions of both her own work and those of other artists working in a range of media. Both the natural world and Jan's urban surroundings in Fitzroy, notably the street art and graffiti, serve as sources of inspiration for her work. Comes signed and in Great Condition.
