Ray Cook, a Melbourne accountant, founded the Ray Cook Pottery in 1948 and Raynham Ceramic Pty Ltd in 1950 on East Bentleigh, Victoria, sites. Under the insignia 'Ray Cook,' the Ray Cook Pottery produced a variety of slipcast dinnerware and vases, as well as some bigger wheel-thrown objects. Raynham specialised in slipcast vases, and the Encyclopaedia of Australian Potters' Marks has a wealth of information on the various labels he used over time. The exterior and inside of this item are both textured white. Vintage Vase is in excellent vintage shape, with no flaws.
