Elizabethan Fine Bone China Ltd. was peroduced at the Florence Works in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, England. Prior to it, it was called Taylor & Kent. Taylor and Kent first began using the trade name "Elizabethan China" in 1961. Elizabethan Fine Bone China Ltd. took over the company's name in 1982, and it carried on at the Florence Works. Elizabethan Fine Bone China and Rosina China Co. Ltd. amalgamated in September 1987, and as of June 1988, they were known as "Crownford Holdings Ltd." The Shufflebottom brothers, Oswald and Derek, already owned both of these companies. The combined businesses became Crownford China Co. Ltd. in January 1989.
