Stunning Alfred Meakin large 111-piece dinner and tea set, all in very good condition with no cracks or chips. Some slight signs of wear, gold rimming has faded on some pieces. Setting is for 6 with 12 tea cups. A fantastic set to own for collectors of fine English dinnerware.

Alfred Meakin was a renowned English pottery company, established in 1875 in Tunstall, Staffordshire, known for producing affordable, durable earthenware and semi-porcelain tableware like ironstone china, with iconic patterns and transferware, exporting globally and becoming part of the Wedgwood Group before production ceased in the 1970s/80s, leaving a legacy treasured by collectors for its classic designs and British craftsmanship.
