Vintage Collectible 6-Piece Royal Albert Crown China Demitasse Set from C.1960s, England. The history of Royal Albert can be traced back over a century to a tiny ceramic business founded by Thomas Wild in 1896 in Longton, one of the six towns that make up Stoke-on-Trent, also known as The Potteries. This well-known brand started as a family company. Because of Thomas and his sons – Fred and Tom (‘TC’) – skill and hard work, the company became known for bone china tea and breakfast sets. Only in 1970 did the company known as Thomas C. Wild & Sons Ltd formally alter its name to Royal Albert. Then, two years later, the Royal Doulton Group absorbed the entire Allied English Potteries, which was ultimately swept up by the Wedgwood Group. The new ‘Wedgwood Group’ now owns Royal Albert bone china England. Royal Doulton has previously taken a ‘designer' approach to the business, collaborating with designers such as Zandra Rhodes that we should watch for as a future collectible. Set is Designed with Beautiful Old English Rose Pattern. Has some minor Wear & Tear. Comes with Original Markings from C.1960s. Set Consists of x3 Teacups and x3 Saucers.

Dimensions: 82D x 69H mm (Teacup)
